Description

Responsible to provide person-centered services to individuals with disabilities primarily focusing on developing vocational and employment skills.

Tasks

  • Provide person-centered supports in line with each participant’s Individual Support Plan (ISP).
  • Ensure participant health, safety, and assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Deliver pre-vocational training and production oversight for up to 15 individuals.
  • Promote community integration and support employment readiness.
  • Complete required documentation and report incidents per program regulations.
  • Maintain clean, safe program areas and instruct on safety and quality procedures.
  • Support community outings, 1:1 care, and open shifts across agency programs as needed.

Qualifications / Education

  • High school diploma or GED; preferred a minimum of one years’ experience working in a direct care position or with individuals with disabilities; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand Individual Support Plans and schedules.
  • Demonstrate written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Must be dependable and flexible. Ability to work in a team environment with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to apply basic first aid skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
