Description
Responsible to provide person-centered services to individuals with disabilities primarily focusing on developing vocational and employment skills.
Tasks
- Provide person-centered supports in line with each participant’s Individual Support Plan (ISP).
- Ensure participant health, safety, and assistance with daily living tasks.
- Deliver pre-vocational training and production oversight for up to 15 individuals.
- Promote community integration and support employment readiness.
- Complete required documentation and report incidents per program regulations.
- Maintain clean, safe program areas and instruct on safety and quality procedures.
- Support community outings, 1:1 care, and open shifts across agency programs as needed.
Qualifications / Education
- High school diploma or GED; preferred a minimum of one years’ experience working in a direct care position or with individuals with disabilities; or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand Individual Support Plans and schedules.
- Demonstrate written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Must be dependable and flexible. Ability to work in a team environment with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to apply basic first aid skills.
- Must have reliable transportation.
