Production Supervisors

Description

Responsible for leading and managing daily shift operations. They ensure that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met while fostering a strong team environment. Requires hands-on leadership, problem-solving, collaboration with other departments, and development of their teams to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Tasks

  • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring output, quality, and efficiency targets are met.
  • Direct and support operators/team leads with tools, training, and guidance for success.
  • Enforce safety policies, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with protocols.
  • Track KPIs, identify improvement areas, and adjust processes to maintain efficiency.
  • Address operational challenges with maintenance and engineers to resolve issues quickly.
  • Ensure product quality by monitoring processes and collaborating with the quality team.
  • Manage schedules, track attendance, and communicate shift updates with superintendents.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in MDF or wood products.
  • Experience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality control.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with operators and other departments. Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions.
