Description

Provide psychological and behavioral health care and consultation to the assigned patient population and to affiliate and non-affiliate contracted agencies. It is understood that the Psychiatrist has the appropriate experience and training in clinical areas to provide appropriate consultation to individuals working with children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disorders, as well as, mental health disorders.

Tasks

  • Manage daily operations of the DBHW physician practice for psychiatric providers.
  • Prepare contracts for entities purchasing psychiatric and psychological services.
  • Maintain strong relationships with providers to support satisfaction and retention.
  • Schedule provider meetings to improve communication and collaboration.
  • Manage provider schedules to ensure coverage for all affiliate and contracted entities.

Qualifications / Education

  • Current unrestricted licensure as Medical Physician and Surgeon (MD) or Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon (DO) by State of Pennsylvania, specializing in Psychiatry
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse disorders preferred
