Description

The Physical Therapist develops and implements physical therapy programs meant to restore function and improve physical movement. Coordinate’s care across an interdisciplinary team of care providers, and oversees the work of physical therapy assistants, rehab aides, trainers, or other allied health professionals.

Tasks

  • Maintain treatment schedule aligned with facility and patient needs.
  • Communicate patient updates and changes in care with treatment team.
  • Support patient care and safety throughout treatment activities.
  • Set up equipment for treatments as requested by the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist PT during sessions, ensuring patient and equipment safety.
  • Keep facility clean and orderly by performing housekeeping tasks.
  • Attend required facility meetings and complete other assigned duties.

Qualifications / Education

  • Associate's degree in physical therapy or graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within a Physical Therapy facility, nursing home or rehabilitation agency preferred.
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Interpersonal skills; Oral and written communication skills
  • Confidentiality and Discretion
  • Customer/client engagement
  • Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.
  • This position requires the following abilities: balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, tactile sense, repetitive motions, seeing, hearing, talking, and visual acuity.
