Description
Responsible for washing, drying and restocking of all dishes. Assists in preparing certain beverages and serving resident meals.
Tasks
- Monitor changes in work assignments and resident dietary needs or health status.
- Operate dishwasher; wash, dry, and store dishes, ensuring proper sanitation.
- Stock dish room, dining areas, and carts with necessary supplies and items.
- Clean equipment, kitchen, and dining areas; clear tables and dispose of trash.
- Serve meals, pass bibs and condiments, and assist residents as assigned.
- Record dishwasher temperatures and support departmental quality assurance tasks.
- Attend required meetings and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment.
Qualifications / Education
- Must be willing to possess knowledge of an comply with regulations, policies, procedures, contract and philosophy of the institution
- Must maintain a courteous and professional manner toward residents, visitors and co-workers and a dedication to meet the needs of the elderly
- Must have awareness of cost containment, utilize time fully, and properly care for equipment
- Must possess ability to accept and follow written and verbal directives
- Must utilize good communication and observation skills
- Must be able to read and write
