Assistant Director of Nursing

Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. In the absence of the Director of Nursing Services, you charged with carrying out the resident care policies established by this facility. This position is available to all qualified individuals regardless of age, gender or race.

• Makes daily rounds to ensure nursing staff meet care standards and address resident needs.
• Monitors nursing care to ensure all residents are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Serves on Quality Assurance Committees and completes audits as assigned by leadership.
• Assists the Director of Nursing in managing daily operations of the Nursing Services Dept.
• Helps plan, organize, and evaluate nursing services per regulations and facility guidelines.
• Acts as the Director of Nursing when the Director is unavailable or absent.
• Participates in creating, maintaining, and updating nursing policies and procedures.

• RN with current PA licensure.
• Three to five years management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of State and Federal guidelines for Long Term Care. Infection Preventionist Certification.
