Maintenance Mechanic

Perform maintenance, construction and repair duties at the building complex. Performs preventive maintenance service on all HVAC systems, boilers and pumps, as well as laundry equipment. Repairs and replaces locking mechanisms; paints; wallpapers. Performs electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks.

• Performs preventive maintenance on boilers, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical.
• Completes emergency repairs throughout the facility as needed.
• Conducts construction and renovation work on small projects.
• Installs new equipment, such as ice machines, kitchen and computer systems.
• Handles plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, wallpapering, AC, and welding tasks.
• Maintains company vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Maintains emergency systems: generators, fire alarms, nurse call systems, etc.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of a trade or specialty as required above.
• Ability to understand basic oral and written directions in English.
• Valid PA drivers' license (CDL a plus).
• Thorough knowledge of building operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
