Description
Performs a variety of clerical and typing tasks related to the specific departmental functions. Typing, data entry, filing, preparing documents related to the work of the department. The position calls for the exercise of judgment in the application of prescribed procedures to routine matters. Prepares and copies documents relating to resident matters. Exercises confidentiality at all times.
Tasks
- Types general work: policies, procedures, memos, correspondence from drafts or routine replies.
- Enters data into computer systems accurately and efficiently.
- Proofreads typed materials for accuracy and completeness.
- Sorts, indexes, and files documents alphabetically and numerically.
- Answers phones, takes messages, and provides general information.
- Gathers and assembles data from office records for reports.
- Assists other departments as requested with various administrative tasks.
Qualifications / Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
