Description

Responsible for the complete operation of the dining services department, including planning, organizing, overseeing and managing. They will be the liaison between the dining services department, Administrator and other departments

Tasks

  • Maintains dietary records, inventory logs, and completes forms per company policy and procedures.
  • Inputs and updates resident dietary info, preferences, menus, and tray tickets in software system.
  • Coordinates and processes food orders, special functions, supply requests, and cost analysis.
  • Prepares, prints, and distributes menus; types memos, policies, recipes, and meeting materials.
  • Answers calls, provides info, and tracks data for monthly reports and administrative use.
  • Monitors Personal Care Home kitchen/dining areas for sanitation, service, and resident needs.
  • Collects meal preferences, assists tray line, supports staff/resident interaction, attends meetings.

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor degree in Dietetics/Dining Services preferred; or,
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Dietetic Technician or completion of DMA approved course within first eighteen months of employment and successful completion of examination to become certified.
  • 5 year of experience in management or supervisory capacity in dining services preferably in a health facility setting
