Description

Maintain clerical responsibilities in the department related to the dietary software system, data entry, assessing inventory and ordering, answering phone calls, record filing, and any other assistance as directed to maintain daily operations. May also assist with special non-clerical functions as necessary. Monitors the dining services of the personal care home and serves as a liaison between the facility and the Nutrition Services Department.

Tasks

  • Maintains diet records, menus, tray tickets, food preferences, and resident data.
  • Orders supplies, completes weekly food orders, and monitors inventory.
  • Prepares reports, spend down sheets, and assists with cost analysis and menu updates.
  • Processes clerical work: typing, copying, distributing forms, recipes, and memos.
  • Operates tray card/menu software and updates info as needed.
  • Monitors Personal Care Home kitchen for sanitation, service, and meal preferences.
  • Answers phones, attends meetings, and completes duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year work experience as a food service worker and /or as an administrative or clerical worker.
  • Serve Safe certification
