Description

Greet visitors, provide assistance, information and directions. Answer telephone, provide information, transfer calls to proper department or individual. Provide assistance to residents. Use intercom to page individuals, make announcements, announce emergency situations. Contact designated individuals during emergency situations as directed by Administration or nursing supervisor. Sort and date stamp mail. Complete clerical and typing assignments.

Tasks

  • Record donations and other required information accurately.
  • Accept and manage deliveries efficiently.
  • Sell stamps to residents and dinner reservations to guests.
  • Perform filing and maintain organized records.
  • Complete related tasks as assigned.
  • Process accounts payable and payroll.
  • Manage accounts receivable activities.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Keyboarding/computer skills preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Office terminology, procedures and equipment
  • General computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of English and business arithmetic
  • Ability to type at a reasonable speed
  • Good communication and telephone skills
  • Tact and courtesy; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions
  • Ability to write legibly
  • Clerical aptitude
  • Accuracy
  • Ability to get along well with others; ability to meet the facility’s attendance standards
