Housekeeping Aide

Description

Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Director of Housekeeping, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Tasks

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and evaluating facility activity programs.
  • Ensure work and cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
  • Report all accidents/incidents to supervisor during the shift they occur.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping with nursing in resident and recreational areas.
  • Protect and promptly report any disclosure of user ID or passwords to Administrator.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident health information and report violations promptly.
  • Attend all departmental and staff meetings as directed or scheduled.

Qualifications / Education

  • Sufficient education in order to perform daily tasks with an understanding of the duties involved.
