Description

Responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and flow of wood chips used in the production process. Ensures that raw materials are properly unloaded, stored, and fed into the refining system while maintaining equipment functionality and adhering to safety and environmental regulations. Plays a critical role in keeping the production process supplied with consistent, high-quality raw materials to maintain efficient and continuous operations.

Tasks

  • Operate front-end loaders to manage wood chip inventory and control flow to refining system.
  • Inspect incoming wood chips for quality, contamination, and proper moisture content.
  • Unload chip deliveries, ensuring proper stockpiling and material handling procedures.
  • Maintain clean, organized ship storage areas to prevent excessive buildup or contamination.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and assist with minor maintenance repairs.
  • Communicate with refining operators to ensure consistent, uninterrupted material supply.
  • Adhere to LOTO and PPe requirements, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
