Team Leader

Responsible for coordinating daily operations within their designated department, acting as the primary connection between operators and supervisors. This role ensures production goals, safety standards, and quality requirements are met while fostering teamwork and supporting continuous improvement. Provides guidance to team members, troubleshoots operational issues, and drives effective communication across shifts.

• Monitor processes to ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
• Organize shift activities, delegate tasks, and clarify team responsibilities.
• Address equipment or process issues in real-time, collaborating with maintenance as needed.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct checks, and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Support onboarding and cross-training initiatives to improve team skills and performance.
• Act as the point of contact between operators and supervisors, relaying updates and data.
• Encourage participation in process improvement and assist with implementing new initiatives.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in MDF or wood products.
• Experience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality control.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with operators and other departments. Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions.
