Description

Responsible for managing inventory, organizing supplies, and ensuring that maintenance and production teams have the necessary parts and materials to operate efficiently. Focuses on inventory control, vendor coordination, and process improvement to maintain an optimized storeroom that supports plant operations without excess costs or delays.

Tasks

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and ensure availability of critical parts.
  • Work with suppliers to order parts, manage lead times, and negotiate pricing to optimize costs.
  • Keep the storeroom clean, organized, and stocked for quick access and minimal downtime.
  • Verify incoming shipments, check quality, and document discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and operations to ensure parts availability for repairs.
  • Conduct cycle counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities to improve storeroom efficiency.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, or warehouse management. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Strong knowledge of inventory management and purchasing processes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
