Description

Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across the production facility. Plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and optimizing plant efficiency. Must work proactively to identify potential issues, perform preventative maintenance, and respond quickly to breakdowns while adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.

Tasks

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure efficiency.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with motors, conveyors, refiners, presses, sanders, saws, and more.
  • Assist in installing and commissioning new equipment as needed.
  • Read schematics, blueprints, and manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Collaborate with operators to address recurring equipment issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate logs, ensure safety compliance, and support reliability and CI initiatives.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or a related field preferred.
  • Six months or more of work experience
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment
  • Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
