Description
Responsible for planning,executing, and overseeing capital projects, process improvements, and facility upgrades within the plant. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with plant goals for safety, efficiency, and quality. Collaborates with engineering, maintenance, operations, and corporate teams to drive continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.
Tasks
- Develop and manage capital projects, including equipment installations and facility upgrades.
- Coordinate with teams, contractors, and vendors to meet project milestones and timelines.
- Oversee budgeting, procurement, and cost control to keep projects within financial limits.
- Identify project risks and create mitigation strategies for smooth execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all projects.
- Support long-term planning and infrastructure investments in alignment with plant goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to improve processes, efficiency, and product quality.
Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in MDF, wood products, or similar industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining timelines and budgets. Experience with vendor and contractor coordination.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
