Quality Tech

Responsible for monitoring and testing panels throughout the production process to ensure they meet customer specs and internal quality standards. Conducts routine inspections, analyzing test data, identifying defects, and working closely with production teams to improve product consistency and minimize waste. Plays a key role in ensuring that only high-quality panels are shipped to customers while supporting continuous improvement efforts in the manufacturing process.

• Perform routine checks on panel thickness, density, moisture, finish, and mechanical properties.
• Collect and analyze samples from refining, pressing, sanding, and finishing stages.
• Use precision tools and lab equipment to verify product specs and tolerances.
• Identify defects and communicate issues to production teams for resolution.
• Collaborate with operators to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related concerns.
• Record test results, deviations, and actions; support audits and compliance checks.
• Follow safety rules and aid continuous improvement by reporting process issues and supporting efforts.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six months or more of work experience
• Experience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment
• Experience in material handling, forklift operation, production operation, machine operation, or utility
• Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
