Superintendents

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of their assigned department, ensuring production efficiency, safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This role provides leadership to supervisors and operators, working closely with maintenance, quality, and engineers to optimize processes and drive performance. They play a critical role in ensuring that plant goals align with overall business objectives while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

• Ensure production goals, quality standards, and efficiency targets are consistently achieved.
• Lead and develop supervisors and operators to foster a high-performance, accountable culture.
• Drive workflow improvements, reduce downtime, and boost equipment performance.
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and support plant-wide initiatives.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and operator skill development.
• Monitor KPIs and expenses, addressing production issues to optimize performance and cost.

• 7+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in MDF, wood products, or similar industry. 3+ years of supervisory experience or leadership experience in production setting. Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
• In-depth knowledge of plant operations, production processes, and quality control. Ability to drive operational improvements, reduce waste, and optimize performance. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
