Description
Process Improvement Engineer will have the opportunity to oversee the overall strategies and operations of our process improvement team, working closely with corporate resources to ensure alignment with mill priorities. Tasks
- Drive strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across operations.
- Lead process optimization from compliance to cost and production gap analysis.
- Align mill initiatives with corporate engineering goals and technical resources.
- Analyze data to improve processes, reduce waste, and boost energy efficiency.
- Track KPIs, lead performance reviews, and communicate insights across teams.
- Train teams on safety, reporting, and root cause investigations for performance gaps.
- Ensure process safety, manage budgets, and maintain systems for reporting and standards.
Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a senior process/manufacturing engineer role within manufacturing industry.
- Proven Communication Capabilities.
- Experience with capital projects and process design.
- Knowledge of process improvement strategies and methodologies coupled with experience utilizing advanced statistical methods , such as MBM® Mental Models utilizing Six Sigma frameworks.
- Graduate degree in Business or Manufacturing Management.
- This position is based at the MDF mill in Kane, PA and involves working in both office and production environments.
