Description
Highly skilled professionals who operates boom and cable equipment to lift and move heavy materials on construction, shipping, and manufacturing sites
Tasks
- Operating Equipment: Using levers and pedals to control cranes, tower cranes, or cherry pickers to place loads precisely.
- Safety Inspections: Performing daily inspections of crane mechanisms, cables, and lifting accessories, and interpreting load charts to prevent overloads.
- Coordination: Communicating with ground crews and rigging personnel using hand signals or radios to safely move materials.
- Site Setup: Positioning cranes, setting up outriggers, and monitoring ground conditions (e.g., underground utilities) for stability.
Qualifications / Education
- Crane Operator License
- Key requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma, physical exam, and passing NCCCO practical and written exams
- Three year's experience
