Description

An oral and maxillofacial radiologist is a licensed dentist that specializes in radiology of the teeth and jaws. Focus on interpreting imaging techniques like X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to diagnose conditions affecting the mouth, jaw, and facial structures, providing crucial information for dental treatment planning and patient management

Tasks

  • Perform dental radiography and interpret images.
  • Collaborate with other dental professionals to guide treatment planning.

Qualifications / Education

  • DDS or DMD degree.
  • Completion of a postdoctoral program between 2-5 years in length Board certification is available and often required for practice.
