Description
Accountable 24/7 for leading and managing their area to ensure excellent patient and employee experiences. They improve patient care quality, create a healthy workplace, and oversee clinical and administrative functions. Responsibilities include collaborating with medical staff on patient outcomes, setting clinical quality priorities, supporting shared governance, and using staff feedback for improvements. They also foster a growth-oriented climate for students and staff, oversee hiring and orientation, and manage performance and budgets.
Tasks
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient unit performance.
- Supervise and support staff to maintain high-quality care.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration for patient-centered care.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications / Education
- BS/BSN required at time of hire and master's degree/MSN required. If BS degree not in nursing, a Master's or higher degree in Nursing is required. If Master's degree not in nursing, a BSN is required. If the master's degree/MSN is not present at time of hire, must be enrolled in a Master's or MSN program within one year of hire/transfer date and completed within three years of enrollment.
