Director of Nursing (DON)

The primary duties of a Director of Nursing is panning, developing, organizing and coordinating the Nursing, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Program, Infection Control and Restorative Nursing Programs; and ensures compliance of each in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and internal established policies and procedures.

• Oversee all nursing operations to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Develop and enforce policies to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation efficiently.
• Lead nursing staff recruitment, training, and professional development.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve healthcare services and outcomes.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Registered Nurse, BSN (RN) Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required, 2 of which should be in LTC setting
• 2 years of progressive leadership experience required (e.g. Nursing Supervisor, Nursing Unit Manager)
