Description
Position reports directly to the Truss Shift Supervisor and is responsible for all aspects of roof and floor truss and wall panel manufacturing
Tasks
- Inspect materials to ensure no defective lumber is used.
- Offload, sort, and organize materials for assembly.
- Complete assigned tasks on the assembly line.
- Operate saws, including Cybersaw, Spidasaw, and Radial Arm saw.
- Use MiTek assembly table and Virtek setup system.
- Operate Roof Glider press, conveyor, and truss stacker.
- Assemble gables with air nailers and staplers.
Qualifications / Education
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Additionally the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
