Estimator

Completes accurate estimates from blue-prints on a timely basis as assigned by various manual estimating techniques and systems. Estimates are completed and presented in a pre-determined bid presentation format.

• Completes accurate and timely estimates of lumber and other building materials from blueprints submitted by contractor customers. Assists in maintaining the estimate/drawing files for Center. Assists in the input and tracking of inventory. Keeps estimating workstation and adjacent areas clean, organized, and professional looking. Assists in the training of new associates on estimating software and techniques. Interacts with OSRs and contractor customers as needed for the completion of estimating responsibilities. Frequently monitors inventory supply to ensure that materials are easily accessible and on-hand whenever an estimate is given. Estimating techniques for lumber and other building materials/products. Professional presentation of final estimation.

• Working knowledge of estimating techniques preferred. Familiarity with various construction techniques. Familiarity with lumber and other building materials. A strong aptitude for customer service. Knowledge of center specific estimating software preferred. Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations such as area, square foot, and circumference. PC literate.
