Commercial Estimator

Performs estimating process for Commercial Construction projects in cooperation with the Commercial Sales Staff and the Owners or General Contractor to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally.

• Process estimates, vendor service requests, and returns.
• Perform take-offs from customer blueprints.
• Support Outside Sales by handling orders and delivery status checks.
• Answer and return customer calls promptly and courteously.
• Research inquiries using supplier catalogs or Purchasing Dept.
• Maintain a schedule planner for active customer jobs.
• Stay updated on product knowledge and technical details.

• A two or four year Construction Management Degree or the equivalent in education and experience in the construction management field is preferred. Possessing technical knowledge as it relates to material strengths, loads and load bearing, stress and geometrical design. Basic computer skills. Strong organizational skills. Excellent analytical, reasoning and judgment as to quickly resolve customer service issues. Detail oriented.
