Description

The Quality Manager is part of the management team who ensures that all products within the company meet consistent standards. They develop and implement quality control policies and procedures to ensure the company's result is what it should be, inspection plans and frequencies are created and adjusted as needed and writing reports and findings to act where needed. The Manager is overall responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System and requirements are implemented to maintain ISO-9001 certification for the site.

Tasks

  • Validation of customer claims and reporting per local and global requirements
  • Supports and collaborates with other departments to accomplish all daily QA tasks and requirements on time with a high level of quality.
  • Oversee and assist in creating and updating management system documents ensuring best practices are used and in line with ISO-9001 requirements.
  • Investigates customer claims and internal issues and works close with Production to help analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Preparing Quality related reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Directing and assisting with Continuous Improvement activities
  • Working with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met and improved on.
  • Supports 5S, Lean, and Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Management Representative in Customer and ISO Audits
  • Explore and testing of new Quality Equipment and Investments to meet and exceed quality requirements
  • Preforms and directs internal audits at site.
  • Compile quality information needed for the management review.
  • Manage and supervise QC lab activities
  • New Employee Training on Quality Related Topics
  • Ensuring safety procedures and processes are followed

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related operations experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with ISO quality standards and processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Preferred Certification through ASQ
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and manuals.
