Description

As part of the management team, the Planning and Continuous Improvement Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring the performance and planning of manufacturing specifications and continuous improvement process in-order-to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

Tasks

  • Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; includes estimating.
  • Analyzes plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources; prepares production reports.
  • Develops processes and methods for manufacturing procedures.
  • Uses the Seco Production System as a backbone to continuous improvement and a standard to reach.
  • Coordinates and follow-up workflow in manufacturing processes.
  • Builds and maintains a continuous improvement structure, including driving a continuous improvement committee with all relevant participants.
  • Supports plant with structure and tools to drive the continuous improvement process.
  • Develop plans to train plant employees to ensure continuous improvement on tools and processes.
  • Supervises, manages, educates, develops, and grows personnel to ensure for a competent workforce

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or related operations experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a lead, supervisory, or management role
  • Demonstrated leadership and teambuilding skills
  • Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Data analytic skills and experience
  • Detailed oriented
  • Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, CAD and System Applications and Products (SAP) software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
