Description
Work directly with mental health consumers by assisting persons with functional disabilities resulting from mental illness to develop, enhance, and/or retain psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal adjustment, and/or independent living skills. May perform supervisory functions as delegated by the director. Discussing approaches to assist individuals in goal attainment.
Tasks
- Models and fosters an organizational culture of respect, cooperation and service excellence.
- Participates in the direct provision of services.
- Maintains compliance with program documentation and regulations.
- Applies Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles and services in the operation of the program to include assessment, consumer interactions, recovery based services, etc.
- Manages all documentation in a timely and proficient manner with understanding and adherence to regulations for Psych Rehab Programming.
Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years work experience in mental health direct service, 1 year of which must be work experience in psychiatric rehabilitation services. Bachelor's degree with academic concentration in an area relevant to the position, OR An associate's degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service, OR A CPS Certificate and 1 additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service. A high school diploma or equivalency and two years of work experience in human services, which must include one year of mental health direct care experience.
