Description

Responsible for the direct supervision of assigned employees. This position will provide billable expectations as requested and/or needed for the program by performing the following duties.

Tasks

  • Participating in individual or team meetings including supervisory meetings and supervision with the Program Director
  • Ensuring that staff complete and turn in paperwork in a timely manner that is within program standards, including ISPs, progress notes, SBAs, peer discharges, and any documentation from the CPSS/CPS that he or she is supervising
  • Attending and completing scheduled required annual training in order to meet both agency and regulation requirements of acquiring 18 hours of continuing education in which 12 of these hours must be recovery focused. Additionally tracking and monitoring for CPSS and CPS staff training plans and additional peer required training for certification purposes
  • Presenting as an appropriate role model for other staff and the individuals they serve in appearance, actions, manner of speech, etc. Assisting with consumer surveys and participating in program required Quality Assurance meetings

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education or a related field from a program that is accredited by an agency recognized by the USDOE or the CHEA, or
  • Equivalent degree from a foreign college or university approved by the USDOE with two years of mental health direct service experience that may include PSS and completion of the Certified Peer Support Supervisory training; or High school diploma or GED with four years of mental health direct service experience that may include Peer Support Service; and completion of the Certified Peer Support Supervisory training. Working towards advanced training in at least one of the Certified Peer Support specific models (Forensics, Older Adults, Substance Use, etc.)
