Description

Responsible for providing psychotherapy in the form of individual, group, or family therapy. This position will also provide psycho-education, provide coordination of treatment for their assigned caseload, make necessary referrals to support the consumers, and will provide services in a manner in which to support a whole health recovery approach to treatment.

Tasks

  • Completing intake sessions in a timely manner so that appropriate referrals can be made.
  • Documentation of important information and data in a timely and professional manner as prescribed by the program director.
  • Using the necessary treatment modality for instance; individual, group, couples, family, collateral therapy when appropriate as a means of treatment.
  • Encourage consumers to utilize the Common Ground Decision Support Center as a recovery tool and provide psychoeducation as appropriate.
  • Actively communicate with DSC staff as it relates to consumers wellness and social determinants of health, to include: assigning learning tracks, reviewing health reports, and making referrals to the DSC for classes and additional learning as appropriate.

Qualifications / Education

  • Graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum. Equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). General equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency. Is licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience. Licensed and/or licensed eligible professional and prior experience preferred.
