Restorative Aide

Responsible for assisting residents to meet their highest level of independence with activities of daily living.  Pinecrest Manor has been providing 24-hour nursing care since 1970 in a 138 bed skilled facility located on the campus of Penn Highlands Elk.  We provide round-the-clock coverage and offer personalized attention to each resident in our home-like atmosphere.  

• Assist residents with rehabilitation exercises as directed by therapy staff.
• Monitor and document resident progress during rehabilitation activities.
• Support residents with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Educate residents and families on care routines and rehab goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate resident care.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging therapy environment.
• Report changes in condition or progress to supervising staff promptly.

• Have current PA CNA license
• Have a desire to work with the elderly and chronically ill
• Have education in restorative nursing and good body mechanics
• Have CPR skills
• Have 1 year experience as CNA(preferred)
• Have good communication skills
• -Have ability to pass Criminal Background Check
• -Have ability to meet physical requirements of position
• -Have ability to work flexible hours including shifts, weekends, and holidays
• -Be a team player
