Activity Aide

Responsible for implementing the activities program for a designated group of residents via creative planning, implementation, participation, and documentation of the same.

• Plan and organize recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Assist residents in participating in group and individual activities.
• Monitor resident engagement, mood, and overall well-being.
• Document resident participation and progress in activity programs.
• Collaborate with staff to support personalized activity planning.
• Adjust activities based on residents’ needs and interests.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

• Education and/or experience in activities
• Competency in dealing with the elderly and ill residents
• An outgoing, caring person with the willingness to learn, good judgment, and the ability to work well with others
• Must have, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalency
• Satisfactory personal and professional references
