Estimator

Prepare cost estimates in either of the following areas (turning, milling, welding or mechanical) and other services to aid in bidding on or determining price of products or services. Responsible for support throughout the entire manufacturing cycle by providing in-depth knowledge on the area the individual is estimating in. May specialize according to service performed or type of product manufactured.

• Provide technical and engineering information about products, services, or equipment.
• Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
• Determine quotation needs by interviewing Sales Support and reviewing customer info.
• Review material and labor to decide whether it's cost-effective to produce or buy components.
• Prepare estimates by calculating and extending material and labor requirements.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in machine shop and fabrication
