Description

Responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living to clients residing in the Personal Care Home. The incumbent is expected to promote a home-like atmosphere and encourage positive social experiences and interactions with and between clients.

Tasks

  • Uses current mental health knowledge to empower clients and support their recovery goals.
  • Conducts client screenings to identify needs and helps develop treatment plans and schedules.
  • Plans and leads skills groups tailored to client needs and learning differences.
  • Monitors meds, keeps error-free MARs, educates clients, and completes med certification training.
  • Provides reliable program coverage and works with staff to ensure safe, effective operations.

Qualifications / Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or
  • Bachelors degree in a related field; or associates degree in related field with two years full-time (or equivalent) related experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 18 months full-time experience as Rehabilitation Technician One (Scale 1) within the agency; or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years of related full-time (or equivalent) experience from outside the agency; OR
  • Bachelors degree in a related field and at last 12 months experience as full-time Rehab Tech One and/or Rehab Tech 2 within the agency; or associates degree with at least 3 years of full-time direct care experience within the agency; or high school diploma with at least 4 years experience as Rehab Tech 1 and/or Rehab Tech 2 within the agency; or bachelors degree in a related field with 18 months of full-time (or equivalent) experience from outside the agency; or associates degree in a related field with at least 30 months of related experience from outside the agency.
