To coordinate appropriate support services and resources throughout UPMC to provide effective quality care considering age specific needs and achieve optimal satisfaction, clinical and financial outcomes along the defined continuum of care.

Provides staffing schedules for all units based on established staffing requirements for each nursing unit.

Directs all functions of the services and facilities. Coordinates the work and responsibilities of all managers and supervisors at the facility, as well as the activities of the medical director and medical staff. Ensures regulatory compliance, contracting and strategic planning to enhance the service line.
