Consumer Aide
Provides recovery assistance services to Beacon Light or Forest-Warren Human Services clients living in the community. These services include transportation to obtain necessities for living such as prescriptions, groceries, and clothing. Provide assistance when requested from Forest-Warren Human Services or such tasks as light housekeeping and relocating if necessary. Provides services to consumers participating in the Decision Support Center within Beacon-Light’s adult outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include providing recovery oriented peer support, assisting the consumer in identifying Personal Medicine, writing power statements, completion of the Common Ground report and using Decision Aid Worksheets. Responsible for providing a supportive, restorative environment for consumers whose lives have been disrupted by severe mental illness in the Drop-In Center.
Prevention Supervisor
Responsible for planning and implementing prevention and intervention outreach activities in Warren and Forest Counties with the assistance of the Prevention Specialists, Tobacco Prevention Specialists, and SAP Liaisons. This involves assisting with data collection and program development/implementation in order to minimize the abuse of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and gambling. Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures but the employee is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in discharging duties. The Supervisor of Prevention Services assists with the planning, conducting and facilitation of education and information programs concerning the identification of chemical abuse behaviors and problem gambling. Through utilization of various media techniques, drug, alcohol, tobacco, and gambling education information is effectively disseminated throughout the community. This individual provides instruction to school students in coping skills, decision making, self-concept and self-esteem in order to improve their ability to function and relate to others. The Supervisor of Prevention Services is to provide support sessions and group sessions for students on an as needed basis, and assists them in accessing D&A services and other community resources in order to address identified needs. The Supervisor of Prevention Services will oversee all prevention activities within the Counties that the program serves including tobacco prevention, gambling prevention, and Student Assistance. To accomplish this, they will work closely with the other prevention staff within the area to provide guidance and assist in developing a quality prevention program.
Forest Warren Mental Wellness Association Manager
The Operations Manager shall be responsible for the day to day operations of the Agency to which they are assigned including responsibility for all Agency programs and staff. In addition they maintain responsibility for working directly with and under the Executive Director and the Board of Directors of Agency implementing the Strategic plan.
