Supply Chain career pathway

Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. The operator as accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.

Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports.

Shipping and Receiving is responsible for shipping and receiving products. Employees will research and schedule shipping methods in a cost effective manner while ensuring on time delivery to our customers. Also responsible for loading and unloading delivery trucks, entering receivers into ERP system, and preparing shipments for safe delivery.

Prepare cost estimates in either of the following areas (turning, milling, welding or mechanical) and other services to aid in bidding on or determining price of products or services. Responsible for support throughout the entire manufacturing cycle by providing in-depth knowledge on the area the individual is estimating in. May specialize according to service performed or type of product manufactured.

Purchase machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services necessary for the operation of FEMCO. Purchase raw or semi-finished materials for manufacturing.

Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, shipping and receiving, and related workers involved in purchasing and shipping of materials, products, and services. This position is also responsible for the management of all raw materials and inventory.
