About Kane Area Senior Center
The Kane Senior Center is a satellite office of the Area Agency on Aging/Office of Human Services. We provide crucial information and referrals to community members over the age of 60, provide assistance with Medicare and offer various wellness programs. We also provide nutritionally sound lunches for only a donation.
Mission
Our Mission at the Kane Senior Center is to enhance the well-being of those aged 60 and above in our community. We do this by offering nutritious meals, wellness programs and social connection. We are also the local hub for essential information and referrals for older adults.

Job Shadowing
Students may opt to shadow or closely observe an employee performing the duties of the position. Duration is typically 3 hours and occurs on site at the company. -
Guest Speakers
Guest speakers travel to the classroom to share their professional stories, knowledge, skills, and experiences with students. -
On Site Tours
Students, parents, and teachers travel to the company to learn first-hand the skills, career pathways, and job duties required to work within the company. -
Teacher Experiences
Connecting the educator directly with a business to allow the educator see the skills needed for students to move through career pathways. Educators then take this information back to their classroom to develop real life learning scenarios.
